These eco friendly candles are made of sustainable palm wax. Palm wax candles burn up to 45% longer than regular candles. Palm wax candles are therefore in many ways a sustainable source of light, warmth and atmosphere in the home.

The wax comes from certified plantations in Indonesia. Specifically from RSPO certified plantations that operate sustainable agriculture. RSPO (Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil) is a non-profit organisation that works for sustainable palm oil plantations.

Palm oil is steam-distilled for which no chemicals have been used. The oil is then hydrogenated in wax. Palm wax candles are very hard, smooth and dry. They can withstand summer heat without bending or melting. The crystallised look of our candles is a natural phenomenon of palm wax candles. This is because the wax is poured into a mold at a fairly low temperature. So no chemical techniques are used to get this effect. Everything is done by hand. The paint with which the candles are coloured is also made from natural pigments. Palm wax candles have the property of not shedding soot.
