An Espadrille **must be tight when worn for the first tim**e. As you know it from the jeans, they have to be "worked out" and after a short break-in period, the shoe is on like a second skin. The cm size provided is the inside measurement.
The shoe can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap. The jute sole should not get wet.
