The two color patterns of the Girard Wool Blankets were originally conceived as patterned motifs for decorative murals, fabrics or pillows. In collaboration with the Girard family, these graphic designs are now made in jacquard to produce this elegant collection of wool blankets. An additional effect of this knitting technique can be seen in the constellations that alternate between shades of bright and muted colors.
Great technical and manual experience is needed to process high quality natural fibers. Therefore, Vitras blankets are made by a German blanket company with more than 100 years of experience in natural fiber processing. The proper implementation of the designs demands the great skill of an artisan.
