According to Credo Mutwa, a South African Sangomas witch doctor, birds are the souls of humans who have reached a high state of perfection, representing higher wisdom and knowledge. Birds have the ability to walk on earth, float on water and ascend into the air – the ultimate, earthly freedom. Birds, creatures of air, land and water, inspired Anne to create a beautiful, white ceramic candle holder, depicting two magnificent birds. No less than 40 cm high, it makes quite the statement in or outdoors.
