The Return of the Grey Partridge - Roger Morgan-Grenville and Edwards Norfolk

This book is the story of a wildlife restoration project in the West Sussex South Down's, above and behind the town of Arundel.

The lands belong to the Arundel Estate, which is owned by the Duke of Norfolk (aka the Edward Norfolf who has co-authored the book). The quest to reintroduce the grey partridge to his lands was started in 2002 with the realisation of how modern farming methods had devastated the wildlife on the land. The book charts the original methods taken, and then follows the estate through the seasons of a single year, showing how Peppering Farm is gradually being completely re-natured.

At once informative, passionate and challenging, the authors make an important case for farming in partnership with nature in modern Britain.

Hardback. 196 Pages.
