The Unnatural History Museum - Viktor Wynd
Viktor Wynd's museum/shop has been a fixture in East London for more than a decade. His collection is a twenty-first century cabinet of curiosities and has become something of a tourist destination.
His shop is akin to the Wunderkammer, a cabinet of curiosities, some of it from the natural world and other bits made up to look as if they might be. So there are piranha skeletons and shrunken head but also a purported mermaid. His collection also includes Sebastian Horsley's suit, someone who Wynd identifies as the greatest dandy of all time.
The book is divided into sections including one on preserved dead people and another on 'the other world'.
Hardback. 200 pages.
