The Eelia cosmetic bag is made from unbleached heavy furniture cotton in the Unikko Ralli pattern and is printed in Helsinki. With its organic, personable blooms and architectural stripes, the Unikko Ralli print is an inspirational merging of two Maija Isola designs from the 1960s. Marimekko's famous poppy pattern Unikko was launched in 1964 when the design house's collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to turn this organic theme into something interesting and created a whole series of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower stands for creativity. The dynamic Ralli (rally racing) stripe pattern, designed by Maija Isola in 1969, was inspired by the streamlined liveries of traditional racing cars. In print, sophisticated vertical blocks of color create a balanced design. The bag has a zipper, a lining made of 100% recycled polyester. The outside is dirt-repellent.
