Where The Wild Flowers Grow - Leif Bersweden
Leif Bersweden is a botanist and writer and this book is an exploration of the importance of Britain and Ireland's plant life. He spends time exploring the plants that those countries have and meeting those who also spend time looking for them. His journeys take him from the Cornish coast to the pine forests of Scotland.
He finds plants that have very specific habitats (Edmonton's Chickweed which only grows on the island of Unst) but also other more common wild flowers who he sees retreating into smaller and smaller habitats.
