The simple geometry allows multi-function in that all items can be used for eating, serving and storage. This cereal/dessert sized bowl is coated in a grey glaze with an unglazed base and rim.
The specific stone/clay mix and traditional manufacturing process of Hasami porcelain is unique to this part of Japan and this skill and craftsmanship has been protected and passed down through the generations dating back to the Edo period (17th century).
