The filling contains polystyrene microbeads that make the volume adapt to the desired shape and remain stable without yielding or crushing, unlike foam fillings. The amount of padding is intermediate, which is important so that it is not too empty - which would not keep the shape - or too full - with what would be too rigid and hard.
