The name 'Grey Street' can be traced back to the owner's childhood and memories of time spent in her grandparents' home. This feeling of nostalgia and warmth spreads throughout the store and spills onto the streets; the desire to share other peoples creations and, in turn, have them shared again is an overriding idea behind its very existence.
Grey Street supports and encourages the beauty of creation by giving both established and budding local artists a place to showcase and sell their pieces. At the same time, they are innovative and constantly on the look out for new and imaginative things from around the globe to bring to those who walk through the large glass paneled doors which invite you in and encourage you to lazily sift through the menagerie of quirky items on offer; amazingly intricate pieces of jewelry and art, stationary and wall hangings along with books and magazines to inspire or fulfill curiosity are nestled alongside a plethora of other items that fall into that, 'Ha! I can't believe I don't have this!' category.
Grey Street is filled with gifts worth receiving, even if it is you who is going to get them.
