Product details

glaze

Manufacturing centered on Shino glaze

Shino glaze, one of the typical glaze of Seto ware, has a white fluffy thickness on the glaze, so you can feel the warmth and texture peculiar to Shino.

Method of manufacture

Baking in one of the few heavy oil kilns nationwide

In the prince kiln, we baked using a heavy oil kiln. Heavy oil kilns can give a baked "taste" that cannot be produced in an electric or gas kiln. Since the oil shock, the number of potters using heavy oil kilns has decreased, and it is one of the few baked methods not only in Seto but also nationwide. In the Oji kiln, we continue to make things on heavy oil kilns.

A pottery founded in the middle of the Edo period

We continue to make tableware, vase, and folk art in a chimney kiln.

Until 1968 (1968), mainly mainly main business products (mortar, kame, etc.).

It was fired in a 14 -style "climbing kiln" using firewood as a fuel.
