This is Unikko dish 25 cm. The dishes are made of white stoneware and are washable in dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer. The set is packaged in the box with a Marimekko logo motif. Unikko was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has since become an international printing icon of the press. The founder of Marimekko, Ratia weapons, believed that it was not possible to faithfully capture the true essence of real flowers in the press, which is why the floral prints had previously been excluded from the Marimekko collections. So, Maija Isola designed UNIKKO because it was an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic surrender. Today Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, perfectly integrated in the identity of the Marimekko design.
