At Mr. Stralhbaun's home, on Christmas Eve, the old family friend Drosselmeier entertains guests with conjuring tricks and mechanical puppets he built himself. Clara, daughter of the Stralhbaun, receives as a gift a nutcracker with the features of a toy soldier. Enthusiastic, at the end of the evening she falls asleep hugging her nutcracker, imagining a fantastic world that will soon come to life under her eyes. After battling the Rat King and his army, she embarks on a journey to the Kingdom of Dolciumia, where treats become characters and dance to cheer Clara and Hans, the nutcracker. But everything is just a dream ... or maybe not ?!
