This peek through book by Teckentrup tells the story of a child who follows the light of a star that beckons them to find a happy place. On the way, and lit by moonlight as well as the light of the star, the child dances with a 'tippy-toed squirrel' and a 'long-eared hare'.
Those other characters leave and the child is left embracing the world until it is time to go home.
The cut outs in the book allow parts of the story to stay constant across sunsequent pages while they are joined by new element and characters.
