This wall clock design was originally created by Jasper Morrison for Muji in 2008. Muji have long since ceased production of this clock so HAY have taken up the mantle and have made this clock in the original colourway (as here) but also in a couple of different variations.
The design has also been adapted into a table clock.
The clock has a quartz movement which takes 1 x AA battery (not supplied). There is also a wheel on the movement that you use to move the hands of the clock forward or back.
There is a history in clock and watch design of dials showing 12, 3, 6 and 9 so it is refreshing to see the selection of even numbers on the dial of this clock.
The clock case has a gently curved profile so that it sits proud of the wall. The movement mechanism also has an aperture that allows the clock to be hung on a screw in the wall.
