This blue-green mineral Grandidierite was first discovered in the early 20th century in southern Madagascar. The mineral was named in honor of the French explorer Alfred Grandidier who studied the natural history of Madagascar.

This beautiful gemstone is 'trichroic' by nature with an appearance of blue, green and white. The presence of iron creates its distinctive color. These gems are associated with faith, trust and patience.
