Landscape Blocks - Little Town
There are sixteen individual pieces in this set; the mixture of animals, trees and buildings has been developed to encourage play and also for the person playing with it to develop an understanding of perspective and distance. The pieces are not made so that they are all in the same scale so this means that they can be arranged in such a way to get an understanding of objects that are further away appearing smaller to the eye than those that are close at hand. Alternatively . . . the person playing with it can just enjoy creating scenarios where a giant giraffe stalks a small scale town!
Some of the pieces are left in their bare wood finish wheras other pieces are painted; they are a pleasing mix of pastels, white and brights.
Designed by Kentaro Eguchi in Japan and made in China. We stock other toys by Eguchi as well.
There's a bit of a disclaimer, the box states that the toy is not suitable for children under 3 years.
