Anyway . . . it's a book about bums. As the authors say in their introduction "We'll make you laugh, we'll make you think, and we'll help you realise that sometime, to really get to know something you, need to look at it from the backside."
The book looks at the bums of famous statues (Venus de Milo, Michaelangelo's David) as well as the enormous backside of the Angel of the North. It also looks at objects that reference the rear such as the peachy form of some of Hans Coper's pots and Henry Moore's Large Two Forms. Throughout the captions for the illustrations are snide and funny.
