"Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter" by Serizawa, beautifully captures the essence of the changing seasons with both boldness and subtlety. Inspired by this masterpiece, our master tea blender has crafted a tea that captures the essence of Japan's four seasons through expert blending and finishing techniques. Both the tea, the Tea Master, and Serizawa Keisuke were born in the same region in the foothills of Mount Fuji in Shizuoka.
We are thrilled to have drawings by one of our favourite Mingei artists and textile designer, Keisuke Serizawa. Born in 1895 in Shizuoka City, Japan, Keisuke Serizawa became a renowned stencil dyeing artist. Influenced by Soetsu Yanagi and
Okinawan bingata, he created innovative works. His success culminated in a celebrated exhibition in Paris in 1976 and his designation as a Person of Cultural Merit.
