Sali e Tabacchi Journal is a publication that explores the relationship between the creative arts and the unknown rituals, habits and traditions of Italy. The magazine was founded by journalist and content creator Elisa Carassai and art director and graphic designer Leonardo Pellegrino.
Just as archaeologists reconstructed civilizations from individual fragments, Riv.03: Biophilia from Sali e Tabacchi Magazine will seek to rediscover the worlds of Mediterranean flora and fauna, questioning how they can be investigated and preserved, disseminating and defending traditions and cultures. Among other social, geopolitical and ecological manifestations of food, flora and fauna in our society, the issue will aim to address issues related to the notions of soil, seeds and access to resources; cultural identity and ways in which humanity, nature and technology can cohabit; collective memory and knowledge production; as well as allowing ourselves to open ourselves to the act of wonder and infinite experimentation in an inexorable approach to the animal and plant world, and its possibilities in the future to come.
