Tall Porcelain Beaker - Ambit
This new collection of work by Sue Ure is made from porcelain. It comes in two mono-coloured combinations: black porcelain with a narrow white line and white porcelain with a narrow black line. As well as this tall beaker we also have small beakers and a wide mug from the same range. All of the range is fully microwave and dishwasher-safe.
As well as the monochrome colours all of the vessels feature two different glaze finishes. Above the line the beakers have a gloss glaze that also covers the inside surface, below the line they are unglazed. This combination of glazed and unglazed is a tactile joy.
Sue Ure is a British ceramicist who now lives and works in France. This range is designed by her but not hand thrown; it is made under her Sue Ure Maison line.
