The 8209 Norway Moc can be seen as an exemplary model of an extremely high-performance winter boot. The idea for this boot was developed in close collaboration with the American design team and the Norwegian Red Wing sales team. The objective was a moc toe whose primary area of use is deep winter in combination with snow and ice, where it performs optimally in terms of slip resistance, stability and comfort. This is how the 8209 Norway Moc was born.

The Roughneck silhouette was chosen as the basic shape, but this was supplemented by a number of technical features. On the one hand, the “Water-Resistant” Oro-Russet Taos leather used here impresses with its waterproof properties, as the name suggests. Secondly, the 8209 has a Vibram TC4+ sole, which offers the best traction even on ice. The sole is attached with a so-called “Norwegian Storm Welt”, which has a slight elevation to the upper leather and is therefore, like the upper leather, waterproof. Finally, the Red Wing Shoe Company has decided to incorporate a leather insole covered with Poron, which provides a high level of comfort from the very first wear and takes far less time to break in than the conventional, simple leather insole. A winter boot as it should be.
