Unlike Berber carpets, whose strands of wool are knotted one after the other, Kilim is a flat woven carpet and is therefore less dense and thick. Kilim is a Turkish word that means woven textile, it is used throughout the Arab world where we make flat woven carpets. Like the Berber carpets, Kilim carries a strong cultural identity and represents the tribe in which it is woven. Thus, its patterns, colors and wool vary according to its geographical origin. It can be white or ecru, decorated with black or brown patterns or a profusion of shimmering colors. So you have plenty of choice to choose the one that best suits your interior decoration!
