The A6 MD Paper 15th anniversary notebooks from the Midori brand. This collection of limited edition notebooks was designed to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Japanese stationery brand's notebook. For this, Midori invited 15 artists to create special covers for their iconic A6 notebook. The 15 invited artists are: Adrian Hogan: Is an Australian illustrator who lives in Tokyo. He works around the world and in a wide variety of fields from print advertisements to magazines, books and storyboards. He collaborates in particular with the magazines Tarzan, Popeye and Brutus. He has also created murals for Apple and Starbucks. Recently, he produced print advertisements for the 2023 Rugby World Cup which is taking place in France. Andrew Joyce: Is a British illustrator who lives in Bath. His work uses simplified shapes and live colors to create patterns. He works in different fields: magazines, printed and video advertisements, frescoes. Andrew works with Uniqlo, Lexus and Esquire among others. Aries Moross: is an art director based in London. He is renowned for his colorful and energetic works. He contributes to many collaborative works including music videos and magazine covers. Carolin Löbbert: is a German artist who lives in Hamburg. His complex works address societal subjects including the environment. She has published works and exhibited in several major cities including Tokyo. She has notably collaborated with Beams, Vogue and Isetan. She works in different areas including boutiques, magazines and department stores. Charlène Man: is an illustrator born in Hong Kong and who divides her life between London and Hong Kong. His works are refined with pretty colors. His work is imbued with humor and a mixture of cultures. Cookieboy: Is a Tokyo artist who is inspired by food to create works that are a feast for the eyes and taste buds. Grace Lee: is an Australian illustrator who lives in Tokyo. After studying visual communication, she worked in publishing and design of printed advertisements. His areas of expertise are packaging, books and communication campaigns around the world. His universe is bathed in an imagination of colorful shapes for a playful result that adds a little something to people's lives. Holly Wales: is an illustrator who lives in the United Kingdom. His work has the specificity of being produced only with markers. In his universe, typography has a preponderant place to create dynamic and fluid works. Katsuki Tanaka: is a mangaka who lives and works in Tokyo. In 1985, he won the Manga Rookie Award from the weekly magazine Big Comic Spirits. His most renowned works are Baka Drill co-written with Masakazu Amahisa, Ossu! Tonko-chan and Sado. He also created Cup No Fuchiko, a very popular capsule toy in Japan. Kenji Nakayama: Is a sign painter and visual artist born in Hokkaido and living in Boston. A graduate of the school specializing in sign painting Butera School of Art, he has worked on the creation of numerous billboards. He also works on visual design for corporate branding. Lindsay Arakawa: is a Tokyo-based artist, born in Honolulu. After studying in San Francisco, she moved to Brooklyn to develop her career in digital media. In 2018, she left for Japan to reconnect with her roots. His creative work is always in digital media and digital art. Mateusz Urbanowicz: is a Polish illustrator based in Tokyo. He worked for the anime production company Comix Wave Films, where he worked on multiple works including Your Name. In 2017, he started a solo career. He created successful works of art such as Tokyo Storefronts and Tokyo at Night. Mikiko Amemiya: better known by her stage name Ame, this artist and dentist lives in Kobe. His artistic work focuses on calligraphy, illustration and photography. What was originally just a hobby, his works are now in publications and personal exhibitions. She is also very popular on Instagram. Shunshun: is a drawing artist who lives in Hiroshima. In his work, Shunshun has the particularity of working with a single pen. His work is inspired by the beauty of real-life moments, which he meticulously reproduces. He exhibits throughout Japan and also designs advertising and book covers. Walnut: is a Japanese artist living in Tokyo. Her work is inspired by the cultures she encounters during her travels and the little things of everyday life. His very graphic work explores all mediums. She also enjoys making collages.
