Material: Petrified and Iron Base. Of Indonesian origin, petrified wood dates from approximately 6 million years.
Petrified wood is the result of a tree that has completely passed through the permineralization process. All organic materials (that is, wood) have been replaced by minerals (mainly a silicate, such as quartz), while retaining the original structure of stem tissue. Therefore, petrified wood is a three -dimensional representation of the original organic material. As petrified wood is not a homogeneous material, it can have natural cracks and holes. These holes are filled with transparent or colored resin.
