Product details

Luke Eastop is the grandson of studio potter Geoffrey Eastop who produced pottery in collaboration with John Piper. Luke now works in the studio of his late grandfather in Hampshire.

Luke's work is made from a blend of clays and is thrown on the wheel and then trimmed and glazed by hand. They are matt on the exterior and glazed internally with a satin finish. Each piece is signed to the underside.

These arc form shaped pieces are a really pleasing object to hold in the hand and while they look great on a shelf they are also the perfect vessel for a small salad or a granola and yoghurt breakfast. It is probably best for the long term condition of the bowl if you avoid particularly oily foods or those containing paprika or turmeric.

We recommend washing these pieces by hand . . . . with care.

If you are interested in learning more about Luke's grandfather's work there is a great series of interviews to be found on the Studio International web site.

We have this form in three different colours; grey, taupe and white.
