A network of over 100 rural Wolof women in 10 Senegalese villages are working together to create these beautiful handcrafted baskets. Using locally harvested cattail stalks (a type of local grass) and strips of colourful, salvaged plastic, the women bring supplemental income to their households by coil weaving baskets between their daily duties.
