Product details

This umeshu gives a light and natural smell of almond and damson for your nose. And a beautiful liveliness and tangy tones could be discovered in the mouth, after a sipping. The sweetness of this umeshu is really well balanced by the natural acidity of the fruit. The particularly rich yet not liquor taste, leads well to an nice explosion of flavor, which gives you the feeling of eating a fresh fruit ! The brewery of this umeshu is located in the heart of the kanto region of eastern Japan, which is known as one of the main places where the plums are grown. All the original features of the plum fruit could be found in this liquor. It is recommanded to serve this umeshu in cold temperature, with ice cube or crushed ice. It can act perfected as an aperitif, or a light digestive in the dinner, where it can also be served as a shot on a pan-fried foie gras. In Japan, this umeshu is also often used as a base for cocktail mixing as well !
