The Maya knew thousands of years ago that the fire sticks, which are extracted from the Ocote conifer (Pinus oocarpa) from Honduras, are ideal for lighting the fire. Due to the high resin content, the 100% natural wooden sticks are very flammable and therefore ideal as kindling sticks for the fireplace, barbecue, fire pit and patio heater.
These firelighters produce a sweet and pleasant odour, unlike standard firelighters, and contain no chemicals.
