Christys' London was established by Miller Christy in 1773 and has been making fine hats in England ever since. Felt is one of the world's oldest textile material. A material which Christys' trained craftsmen have formed into hats since 1773. A series of operated heat, steam and traditional heating processes mean that each hat unique, assuming its own character as its crafted into your hat. An unmistakable icon of the hat universe, it has a distinctive telescopic 'pork pie' crown and narrow brim. Popularised in the USA by Buster Keaton, it reached its height of popularity in the 1940s. However, it is now worn by hipsters and jazz aficionados across the globe. More recently, it came to symbolise Walter Whites alter ego 'Heisenberg' in cult TV series breaking bad. Handcrafted using age old techniques in Christys' Oxfordshire factory, made from 100% merino wool.
