Terracota is a porous material that absorbs excess water, so it is the best type of pot for your plants. For better drainage, do not forget to put at the bottom of the sand pot, a little gravel, stones or some piece of broken ceramics. You can place the Odemira Terracotta plate made to collect the excess water.
