High Street Advent Calendar by Emily Sutton
This is the first new advent calendar that Art Angels have produced with Emily Sutton for a number of years. The previous ones were Toy Shop in 2018 and Pantomime in 2019. So . . . this new one is cause for celebration!
The calendar comes flatpacked and then the foreground section of the calendar which features a snowman, a Christmas tree and a roast chestnut vendor unfolds and via easy creasing along the fold lines of the poack piece and the front section it forms a hexagonal diorama.
The three full height panels at the back of the calendar are where the doors/windows lurk across three different shop fronts.
All of the illustrations have Emily's trademark style and exuberance and, while I haven't cheated and opened any of the windows, I am sure that hiding behind those doors are some equally adorable images.
The advent calendar comes with an envelope so that you can send it on.
Measurements:
When made up: approx 30cm wide x 28cm high x 17cm deep.
The depth and width measurements will vary depending on how tightly you crease the folds in the card.
