Authentic ‘Kingfisher’ Kantha Indian pouch bag. Meticulously constructed, each Kantha pouch was individually hand stitched with an outstanding amount of effort and time. This vibrant watercolour paint-style print depicts flying kingfisher birds, dragonflies, plants, and ornate patterns. Using the traditional Indian colour palette, the beautiful contrast of pink, yellow, and green makes for a stunning statement for your bedroom.
This pouch bag is the perfect size for items like makeup, toiletries, delicates, and stationary.
Block printing is an ancient technique mastered throughout the generations, originating from India and dated back to the pre-Vedic age (pre-1500 BCE). Each block section was individually printed and sewn in place.
Aiding to keep the cultural crafting technique alive, we collaborate with our team of talented artisans to create exclusive, contemporary designs. Co-founder Amy hand-illustrated the design, and Bee enriched it with the fresh, colourful palette reminiscent of Indian summers.
Inspired by Amy's love of gardening, and the dragonflies which dance across her pond in the summer months.
