Charles and Ray Eames developed a toy elephant in 1945, but it did not make it into production. In 2009, Vitra launched the elephant in plastic in a variety of bright colours. The small Eames elephant can be used as a toy or a decorative object, a charming addition to any setting. Special additives prevent the fading of colour due to UV radiation, however if left in direct sunlight for long periods of time colour may change.
