Compagnie de Provence liquid Marseille soap. Made in France, using traditional methods – and a cauldron. Free of colouring agents and animal fats it comes in a 495ml glass bottle. Fragrances blended in Grasse, the home of fragrance, by the same hand that creates the fragrances for Comme des Garçons.

Compagnie de Provence was born from the imagination of two Frenchmen in 1990 when they established their company in Marseille. Aware of the reputation of the square blocks of Marseille soap, a reputation that had been held in high esteem since the 17th Century, they sought to re-interpret the product which had largely been supplanted by industrial detergents and chemically fragranced soaps. In 1999 they developed a liquid interpretation of the famous soap and have been adding to their roster of fragranced products ever since.

This soap is enriched with "felt-alga" seaweed from the Mediterranean and exceptional botanical oils from Provence. According to the manufacturer "it has a delicate fresh fragrance, where the iodized freshness of the Mediterranean meets the minerality of rocks whipped up by the waves."

It gently cleanses the hands and body, while helping to maintain skin's moisture levels.

The soap produces a fine, creamy lather that gives an instant feeling of freshness and comfort.
