Small Square Wooden Tray
These small wooden trays or dishes are made by Richard Staples at Lydiates. Lydiates is based in our neighbouring county of Herefordshire and these pieces are made from English wood. Richard is an extremely skilled woodworker and cabinetmaker and works with other designers including Rupert Bevan and Gareth Neal. His own chair design, the Honest chair, is sold through the celebrated retailer, The New Craftsmen.
Although diminutive in size these pieces could be used as a small dish for snacks or somewhere to deposit the daily accumulation of things from ones pockets; keys, receipts etc.
Made from English oak.
