Designed as part of his popular range of Masq sculptures, Mats Jonasson's Noviata, hand-made in Sweden, is a striking contemporary ornament, often used as a paperweight. The cast crystal block is hand-painted with bold organic colour before being sandblasted and signed by the artist.
Founded in 1890 in the town of Målerås Sweden, Mats Johasson's Målerås is the largest privately owned glassworks in Sweden. Using a combination of finely honed production techniques, an exclusive crystal recipe and a team of five talented designers, Målerås have drawn from Swedish glassmaking traditions and perfected their art with beautiful results of the highest quality.
