Created for Kähler by Icelandic-Danish artist Thora Finnsdottir, the Christmas Tales artist uses muted colours and soft shapes to reflect on the natural Nordic world with all the benefits of tranquility and charm it portrays. The piece Christmas Kiss features a small boy and girl sharing a festive kiss beneath a sizeable green pine cone. The small figures in smooth white porcelain stand out amongst the various coloured glazes in natural shades of the forest surrounding them.
Directly inspired by a Nordic landscape, Kähler’s Christmas Tales series of ceramic figures features treasures of the winter forest, brought to life following the brand's famous handmade tradition.
