This Windmühlenmesser bread knife is a great bread slicer from Herder with all the benefits for easy, clean and smooth slicing of both soft and hard bread; also great for cakes and pies. The 225 mm long blade of this Windmühlen knife is highly ground and has a very sharp serrated edge that has been polished by hand. It is made of stainless chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel, hand-blued (special fine grinding) and manufactured according to the "Solingen thin grinding" principle. The ergonomically shaped handle made of honey-coloured, steamed cherry wood lies comfortably in the hand and allows fatigue-free work. Do not put Windmühlen knives in the dishwasher. Oil the handle from time to time with Herder wood care oil.
