Individual and exquisite luxury end-grain chopping board. Produced from Acacia, Sapele, Maple, Hard Maple, Oak and Ash. Durable, thick and kind toward premium knife blades e.g. Globals.

Easy to clean - simply wipe with a hot, clean damp cloth. Safe and hygienic surface that is sympathetic toward all knife blade edges.

What is End-Grain?

End-Grain - wood that is cut at a 90 degree angle to the grain - is a luxurious and practical form of wood that is used in most high-end chopping boards.

The reason for this is that the wood offers a kinder chopping surface to ALL knives (especially premium) compared to other wood grains. A positive that stems from the fibres in the wood parting to allow the knife blade through with very little resistance. It is due to this movement that knife edges are less likely to blunt and, as a result, are less likely to need constant sharpening than if you were to use a Face-Grain or Edge-Grain cutting board.

Not only do your knives benefit from this type of board but so do your kitchen and pockets. This is because End-Grain boards have been proven to be more durable than most other woods, and have been coined 'self-healing' due to the idea that (to some degree) marks made from cutting heal over time.
