Iconic Opinel n°10 knife with corkscrew integrated into the varnished beech wood handle from French forests, 10 cm blade in Sandvik modified 12C27 stainless steel with a carbon content of at least 0.40% assuring a durable cutting edge without being susceptible to corrosion, Virobloc stainless steel safety ring in two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (operating safety), it is also possible to lock the blade in the closed position (transport safety).

Joseph Opinel crafted his very first pocket knife in 1890 in Savoie in the French Alps. Made with function, design and a simple, sleek aesthetic in mind, his exceptionally stylish knives and tools have truly stood the test of time. Each one is a carefully crafted with Opinel's original mastery in mind and the varied collection now includes pocket knives, kitchen knives, children's beginner sets, DIY tools and more. The Opinel family still runs the business to this day; their Chambéry factory employs 130 people and they even boast a museum based in the village of Saint Jean de Maurienne where visitors can marvel at the blacksmith skills perfected by the family over several generations.
